Programme summary
Reflecting on the tremendous strides we have taken as an organization in 2023, the Centre for
Transparency Advocacy (CTA) is pleased to acknowledge significant achievements and impactful
initiatives that underscore our steadfast commitment to our mission and the communities we serve.
Notably, the completion of the two-year Original Inhabitants project funded by the MacArthur
Foundation through the Resource Centre for Human Rights and Civic Education (CHRICED) stands out
as a monumental effort, yielding tangible outcomes in “promoting the cultural values and
environmental rights for the Original Inhabitants of the FCT through Drama and Art Forms”
CTA Engaged actively in the 2023 General Elections, including the off-cycle November 11 2023
Governorship Elections in Bayelsa, Kogi and Imo states. CTA demonstrated commitment to
transparency by training and deploying observers to the field. These steps were followed by the
release of comprehensive election reports. In addition to the launching of the election reports, CTA
published a Public Perception of INEC and the Conduct of Elections in Nigeria and an Election
Compendium, highlighting our commitment to transparency and accountability in the electoral
