EZENWA SAMPSON NWAGWU

Now in mid forty, Eze, is one of the brightest prospects; a leader and model, upon whom many in his country look forward to for direction and inspirationHe is at once a bridge and a bridge- builder. Nigeria is a big complex, full of Contrasts a cultural mosaic; but Eze is among the fortunate few who easily meander  their  way  into  the  social  maze  and  political  cleavages  and  find acceptance and accommodation. This is because he truly cuts across. He was raised in the North, educated in the west and hails from the south east.Indeed, he understands all three major Nigerian languages   and speaks any fluently,  while  his  circle  of  friends  and  associates  are  a  fine  assortment representing the country’s plurality. Born in the thick of the billowing civil war smoke, he grew up an intrepid patriot, who has an abiding belief and faith in his country’s manifest destiny as leading African giant. Early in life he plungedheadlong  into  the  struggle  against  military  authoritarianism  and  quest  for enthronement of democracy. As a foremost student leader and activist and effective youth mobilizer, he led or participated in many protest against the military junta in the 1990’s this earned him several spells in detention. With the return to civil rule, Eze, pitched his tent with the civil society movement dedicated to playing the role of the conscience of the Nation and serving as a sentinel for the hard fought democratic enterprise. He volunteers and serves in the board of and for an array of local and international advocacy groups. He is taking deeper interest in election, voter education, legislative advocacy, Transparency and accountability issues. In recent time, however, Eze is better known as a popular public speaker and respected public affairs analyst. He is a regular voice and face in all leading radio and television stations in the country. What makes his intervention unique is his penchant for articulation in his delivery, even  as  he  remains fiery and dispassionate. He is widely travelled in Africa and few European countries and holds a Diploma in peace and Conflict Resolution and Bachelor’s degree in History and International Relations. He is married with children.
